It is our pleasure to announce our workshop Asymptotics2024 to be held from the
10th to 14th of June 2024 at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
The aim is to bringing together experts from the theory of partial differential equations and related fields working on homogenisation or stability providing their recent progress and to explore new avenues of theory. We are planning a small and mathematically intensive conference with about 25-40 people with many opportunities to discuss and research. The conference fee will be waived for all participants; the necessary expenses will be kindly covered by TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Freiberg!
Marcus (Waurick) and Shane (Cooper, UCL)
Charles Batty (U Oxford)
Carolin Kreisbeck (KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt)
Stefan Neukamm (TU Dresden)
Claudia Timofte (U Bucharest)
In order to register, please write an email to

using the template linked below.
Please submit your abstract by the 10th of May.
Accommodation
The city of Freiberg offers several options to stay with a reasonable price. Participants of other workshops have used one of the options
Hotel Kreller: https://www.hotel-kreller.de/kreller2/eindex.html
or the
Hotel am Obermarkt: https://www.hotel-am-obermarkt.de
The workshop took place at TU Bergakademie Freiberg between the dates
18th of July 2022 and 22nd of July 2022.
The conference focussed on control theory and applications (predominantly) in the area of partial differential equations. Apart from talks by experienced researchers there were extended poster-sessions for PhD-candidates and/or PostDocs with a poster prize sponsored by Birkhäuser/Springer; the winners are
First Poster Prize Manuel Schaller (TU Ilmenau)
Runner Up Hannes Gernandt (TU Berlin)
Runner Up Michael Doherty (University of Strathclyde)
The book of abstracts including the list of participants as well as all the other abstracts of contributed talks and posters can be found under the link provided.
The proceedings of WOSTAP 2022 will be published in the Birkhäuser Book Series: Trends in Mathematics and has the provisional title
Systems Theory and PDEs - Open Problems, Recent Results, and New Directions
